Step by step
One job at a time, in plain words. Nothing here needs us to do it for you.
Brand new? How it works explains what this is first. This picks up once you have started.
Your CV, and applying
The CV is free and it is yours, whether or not you ever apply for anything here.
Build my CV on my phone
About 15 minutes, and you can stop halfway
- Tap Build my free CV.
- Make a free account first: your name, your mobile number, an email address and a password.
- Then answer the questions, one screen at a time. It saves as you go.
- Pick the kind of work you do from the list. You can add up to three, and the first one is your headline.
- If writing is not your strong point, we can draft it from the answers you gave, or check your wording.
Having an account is what makes the CV yours. Stop halfway and pick it up next week from any phone.
Use the CV I already have
About 5 minutes
- If you already have a CV as a PDF or a Word file, upload it instead of typing it all again.
- We read it in for you and fill in what we can.
- Check every section afterwards and fix anything we read wrong.
- You still pick the kind of work you do yourself. That is the one thing we cannot read off a file.
Download my CV
About a minute
- Open My CV.
- Say what you need it for: emailing it, printing it, or filling in a form on a company website.
- Choose a look.
- Tap Download my CV (PDF), or Download as Word if you need to edit it later.
This is free and it is yours, whether or not you ever apply for a job here.
Let employers find me
About a minute
- Open Being found and switch it on.
- Anyone can then see the kind of work you do, your skills, your area and your job titles.
- Your name, your number, where you have worked and what you wrote about yourself stay behind the login.
- Only registered employers see those, and every one of those views is recorded.
- Switch it off again whenever you like.
Apply for a job
About 2 minutes
- Open any job on the board and tap Apply with my CV.
- Add a short note if you want to say why it suits you. It is optional.
- Your dashboard then shows what happened to it: Sent, Being reviewed, Shortlisted, or Not successful this time.
Posting a job, and hiring
Write the advert, see it as an applicant will, and answer the people who apply.
Post a job
About 10 minutes
- Tap Post a job.
- Fill in the form: what the work is, the level, where it is, the duties, what is non-negotiable and what is nice to have.
- Pay is optional, and you decide whether it shows.
- Look at the preview. It is the real advert, not an approximation.
- Publish it. It runs for 30 days, and there is a renew button when it expires.
Your first post is free. After that there are packs, and if you already pay for DigitalFlyer Growth or a paid KatisoBiz membership, posting is included and unlimited on the same email address.
See who applied and answer them
As long as it takes to read them
- We email you the moment somebody applies.
- They also wait for you under Applicants, with their full CV and their note.
- Open one and mark it Reviewing, Shortlisted or Declined.
- Save the ones worth keeping. They stay under Saved candidates on your dashboard.
Marking somebody is what they see on their own dashboard, so it is worth doing even for the ones you are turning down.
Find people without waiting for them to apply
As long as you like
- Browse everyone who has switched on being found.
- Narrow it by the kind of work and by area.
- Open somebody to see their full CV and how to reach them.
